The Landscape

I love Nature in all his maifestations: sea, sky, clouds, animals and humans. Painting nautre is like reviewing and reimangining it: I don’t copy it, I internalize it, and while painting it I recognize it, contemplate it, I relive the emotion. I work with it ever since my deepest parts recogniozed it. This elaboration is not always conscious: through the representation of nature it seems like I find the rules that constitute living beings. The sea, in particular, gives me the horizon, the stability and the transparency. I immers myself in painting through the interior landscape. Even the human landscape is part of nature; it is like an anthill for the ants, like the forest for the plants, like a meadow for the grass. Wind turbines don’t annoy me, a smokestack on the sea doesn’t bother me, unless it pollutes it.
