The Geometry, color and rithm
Geometry expresses our need for stability and rules. The lines that form an artwork always have a meaning. Horizontal lines are almost always balanced by vertical ones and even oblique lines are balanced by lines traced in the opposite direction. In nature and forms I search the geometric principles that make the worl universal and sinthetic.
Color often balances, in potency and intensity, the geomtric construction. The chromatic research happens on the primary and secondary colors range, cause painting can’t be a random result, it has to be reproducible at every moment: I don’t believe in spontaneity, I do in research. For a long period of time my works had only two colors, a primary and a complementary one, to study the possibility and reproducibility of an artwork.
Research and discovery of rithm are a consequence of a repetitive and geometric work. Rithm can be obtained through geometry or through the insertionof the chormatic range, in variety and intensity. Rithm reveals to the observer’s eye, through lines and color, the frequencies, affinities, balances, forces: rithm, in fact, is the sinthesis of all this.
